being centred around my pagan beliefs and my interpretations of the nude in the natural world

to celebrate the return of Spring with the trees as I return across Keston Common

sun warmed... wind cooled...
stripped of society's restraints
nudity is my freedom
awakening my senses to this natural world

Tree of Life
your arms reach down to touch me
and I am roused by your leafy caress...
running my fingers across your rough bark
I feel ancient stories come to life...
sights that you have seen long ago enter my third eye,
questions forgotten are now answered
as your secrets course through my body
filling me with an energy of wild dances...

my soul tripping to your songs
through star filled skies
into enchanted lands of dreams...
I see the old races in their sacred groves
...naked in their rites
as they worship the power of nature,
dancing to celebrate their Mother...
invoking the Goddess and the God...
Isis... Osiris... Diana... Pan...
Brigid... Cernunnos... Aphrodite... Apollo...
and, caught in a frenzy of passion,
I whirl away from you
and once more stand alone.

I have used the name barefootpoetry for my greetings cards and illustrated booklets of naturist and pagan poetry since 1985
but feel that skycladarts is now a more fitting title as I spend most of my life skyclad or nude
